*Where Faces End* explores the blurred boundary between the human, memory, and transformation. The figures are gathered like fragments of an impossible inventory. Some still retain a familiar silhouette; others appear already caught in a metamorphosis that distances them from any stable identity.
Faces fade, close off, or turn into something akin to masks. This disappearance transforms the figures into anonymous presences—poised somewhere between portrait, memory, and vestige. At the center, bodies merge with a dark, organic architecture, blurring the distinction between the living being and its surroundings.
The presence of the horse introduces a fragile, familiar counterpoint amidst these human transformations. Paradoxically, the animal becomes one of the work’s most recognizable forms. The title points to a threshold: the moment when the signs that allow us to recognize the other—and indeed ourselves—vanish.
