I am Anastasia Kourou and I invite you to join me in the world of my art.
My fascination for the bizarre, the occult and for fantasy was already revealed in my youth, when art not only gave me comfort, but also had a healing effect:
It gave me the ability to express the darkness inside me and to channel suppressed feelings.
My first works were created and I initially started studying fashion design, where I was able to express successfully my passion for the dark & extravagant.
But health, psychological & family problems made me lose sight of art afterwards.
This changed suddenly when I intensively dealt with myself and my life vision during a cure in 2018. A return to art followed, and the coming years are characterized by an intensive, isolated confrontation, in which I laid the foundation for the expressive handwriting characteristic in my works, in addition to the thematic focus.
With the development of my artistic practice, I increasingly engaged in expressive airbrush as well as tattoo techniques, both of which elements can still be found in my art today.

Currently, I live and work in my studio in Esslingen, where uncompromising, high-contrast and emotional art is created. Let my paintings talk to you and find the perfection in yourself.
My artwork gives you the opportunity to release suppressed feelings to the surface.

Remember: Human nature is that darkness also exist within us!
It reveals the two ends of one and the same thing - inseparable and interdependent. The day cannot be defined without the night, the heat cannot be defined without the cold, the poverty cannot be defined without the wealth. We need the darkness as much as we need the light.

Discover yourself and immerse yourself in a world of real emotion and self-acceptance. This will expand your awareness that the voices of darkness and light speak equally to our souls.
I now feel complete in my being and have learned to accept my darker sides as part of life.
