Yeah, I’ve been there too.
It’s so easy to opt for the safe path instead of chasing what really gives you a buzz. That struggle is at the heart of my piece, Rising Up.
It’s scary to go against the grain and find out who you really are.
In my self-portrait, the ivy stands for breaking free from those pressures and discovering new directions.
I REALIZED THAT MY DESIRE TO EXPRESS MYSELF WAS STRONGER THAN MY FEAR OF FAILURE.
I couldn’t stop thinking about my dreams. What would I be without them? What if I chased what really makes me tick?
So, I took the plunge and faced my fears head-on.
Now, just like the ivy in my art, I’m daring to climb higher. Letting go of the past, represented by skulls, to make room for fresh starts.
The Tree of Life detail symbolizes my determination to break free from limitations and broaden my horizons.
