Ortrak, the goddess of underwater mining, emerged from the abyssal pits, her heart as cold as the depths. Her dominion extends across the entire seabed. With her imposing presence, and her subtle song, she lured mankind beneath the seas to draw on the Earth’s resources. They dug ever deeper, raising a thick fog that stagnated in the depths, preventing all visibility and all life from surviving.
