The Vampire Skull
When I was a child, I had a dream that never truly left me.
In the dream, I wandered through an ancient forest beneath a blood-red moon. Hidden among the roots of forgotten trees rested a pale skull with long, elegant fangs. It did not frighten me. Instead, it seemed to wait—as if it carried a story that had been buried for centuries.
Its empty eyes reflected memories instead of darkness, whispering of a vampire who had chosen solitude over cruelty, watching the world change while time slowly erased everything but its bones.
Years passed, and the dream faded into the quiet corners of my mind. Yet its image remained, patiently waiting to be remembered.
Today, I painted that vampire skull in oil, giving form to a dream that had lived with me since childhood. It is more than a skull; it is a fragment of a forgotten night, a symbol of mystery, memory, and the strange beauty that some dreams refuse to surrender.
