Manuela Gigliotti Biography

Germany, born 1982

Manuela Gigliotti's roots lie in Italy. Born and raised in Switzerland she went to Germany in 2011.

She has always been interested in art, attended the Lucerne School of Art, and learned to work with various materials there. Over time, her taste developed towards dark, mysterious motifs.

In addition to painting on canvas, she also works on leather, for which she has developed a special process to apply colors permanently. Due to her passion for metal music, both fans and famous bands like Sodom are among her clients.

Manuela enjoys experimenting with different materials: acrylics, crackle pastes, charcoal, gold leaf, etc., painting with brushes, sponges, and her hands. Her focus is on dark art, and her sources of inspiration include H.R. Giger, Zdzislaw Beksinski, Francisco Goya, Caravaggio, Eric Lacombe, and many more.

Manuela aims to both fascinate and disturb people. A painting is more than just a picture. It is a journey into the innermost depths of ourselves. It aims to captivate and inspire people, making them more open to what is often misunderstood: the beauty of Dark Art.
