Whatever arising within our perception is mirror-like and transparent.
The one who can keep awareness perceives all appearances (including him/herself) as the flow… Such experience inspired to express this in the graphic composition.
The meditating figures (yogis) sitting on the rocky pillars symbolise this unshakable (and transparent, unreal indeed) state. All the space around – the spherical sky and earth are full of phenomenal appearances: floating fishes above or running people and horses below…
But “traditional” (Indian or Tibetan Buddhist iconographic) symbol of primordial state above and Sun and Moon (right and left) are the marks of non-dual union…
White acrylic as the basic relief texture and semi-transparent pastel on the black cardboard background as loved author’s materials are expressing this idea …
The style varies between the figurative graphics deeply rooted in the first decade of XX century Symbolism to the almost abstract textures and very modern “mixed imagery”…
