Artwork description

Work belonging to the series “Talking Figures” representing the Egyptian queen Tiye (ca 1398-1338 BC). A lock of her hair was found in a small golden coffin, inside the tomb of Tutankhamun. The figure states according to an ancient formula widespread in the ancient societies of the Mediterranean :”Who wakes me from my sleep?” To indicate the inviolability and power of the Sacred.
