Artwork description

head of a unique specimen of this very rare ant specie.

Called “ram ant” beacause of the kind of horns ; Lasius is one of the species of ants, where there is the common (at least in western europe) black ant, and since i made this one black (with iindian ink), i used this specie name for it.

Made from the back of a skull (the leftover half of my previous post) ; the antennae do not correspond to ones of an ant, but it is cut from this part of the skull, so it allowed me to use the whole skull, and i preferred it this way.
