How cold can Coldwave/No Wave be?
This must be the most desolate, hopeless song I know and an all-time favorite.
In 1980 I discovered Exterminating Angel from R.L. Crutchfield’s Dark Day on the radio and was catapulted in a desolate, weird but recognizable universe.
The simplicity of the sound and words perfectly reflected my feelings in a hopeless, complex world.
As a tribute I painted figures for every song on a selection of my photo’s printed on canvas.
