A ‘boneyard’ is a place where old fishing vessels are kept to either fix them or pirate their old bones for usable parts. This is an existing functional boneyard for some families of lobster fishermen who live on Swan’s Island. They have been there for the past couple of centuries, stirring bones and so on.
