Artwork description
This is a multi-media piece that includes an electro pyrography technique where I electrocute the wood and then I fill in the cracks with blue resin. I then burn the piece and paint it with a combination of wood stain and acrylic paints
“The Forlorn Heart” exhibits a heart with a sad skull texture trapped within its rib cage and only darkness shown beyond. There is a small hope shown through what seems to be a dark forest evolving from the exhausted veins and artery showing growth and a hard road ahead but revealing small rays of light and hope through the thick foliage above.
