Artwork description
This is a pyrography piece where I burned it into this slice of wood. It is then painted with a combination of wood stain and acrylics. It’s finally sealed with Polycrylic for protections and longevity.
The rebirth represents the dark and light sides of death where a living being dies and is the end of one’s journey on this earth, but then leaves the path open for renewal and rebirth of something new. A symbolism of light cannot exist without light and darkness does not last forever.
