Lady of the East, Goddess of the Rising Sun, Bastet, the cat headed goddess could manipulate reality.
She is the keeper of women’s secrets, and watches over them as they labor in child birth. She protects the household and guards us from the evil eye.
My beloved finds bones. One day he found the skeleton of a tom cat curled up between two logs. He carefully gathered up the bones in a piece of flannel and brought it home to me. We named him Ikea, because he came in pieces.
Mounted on this pendant of wings beside the faces of divine spirits, this cat’s skull is a beautiful tribute to Bastet.
It hangs from a double stranded necklace of labradorite and black jasper, and deer antler tips dangle alongside a silk tassel and a smoky quartz tip.
The necklace hangs 10 inches from clasp to the top of the skull, and 17 inches from clasp to the bottom of the silk tassel.
When bones come to me, I listen to their whispers. I will never use a bone if it tells me it wants to rest. These bones want to be appreciated and loved.
