As with many of my animal pieces, Felis Silvestris Catus (Mid-Transverse Hyper-Elongation) raises questions regarding the disconnect between perceived idealism in nature and the objective mechanical biological reality. The juxtaposition feline grace and agility with the exposed anatomy that enables it, causes one to question what it actually means to possess a body composed of transient organs and tissues that will eventually die and decay.
