Artwork description
Mikxed media portrait of a young Victorian woman wearing a bird hat .A popular victorian fashion that had the had decorated with various taxidermed birds. The idea was to illustratethe idea that we have not move on very far and are still destroying wildlife and its habitat. She obviuosly is not an Ornithologist with her opera glasses.
This painting is now sold and won the John Gray award at the RSW annual Exhibition in Edinburgh , scotland in December 2022. This was the first of my paintings in this style and subject.
