The Demon Baal (Bael, Baell) is an agricultural and fertility deity of Canaan turned into a Fallen Angel and a Demon. Many minor deities of ancient Syria and Persia carried the name Baal, which means “the lord”.
The first spirit of the Ars Goetia who commands 66 legions of demons, Bael is depicted with a cat’s head and a frog’s head on either side of his human head. Grants powers of invisibility and hidden knowledge.
