Throughout the centuries the contemplation, delight and veneration of the horrific has been present in ancestral cultures, as shown in the libations and sacrifices of classical antiquity, until our time with its inherent commercialization. Sub umbra mortis consists of a series of digital collages that deal mainly with death understood not as an antagonist of life, but as a dark reflection parallel to our existence. An attempt to recover the spirit of Grand Guignol, the cathartic experience, terror as the origin of deep thoughts within a theatrical representation of the macabre.
The copy is printed by demand and carefully packed in a cardboard box. The estimated production time is 48 hours. After printing I can provide photos. The Kozo paper has a wide tonal range and incredible deep black, but it must be handled with care.
