Sara Sullivan Peccianti Biography

Sara Sullivan Peccianti, aka "LaSullivan", is a photographer
“Storyteller” which works mainly between Milan &
Siena but I go wherever there is something to tell.
His work was born primarily as a passion. When she was little
mother always told her a story before falling asleep and it is for
this one who decided to "write" stories through the medium in his own way
photographic.
LaSullivan was born in Milan in 1992 and has always loved
art, she undertook studies of Cultural Heritage in Brera.
After graduating, she understands that one of his greatest passions is
photography and for some years alongside work in the retail sector with
courses relating to the photographic field. In 2019 she attended the two-year course
at the Italian Institute of Photography, also winning a scholarship
study. After finishing her studies she began working as a professional photographer
sharing a photography studio and specializes in portraiture and
reportage.
From here she began to produce her first self-portraits because she felt the need
to tell about itself in its continuous evolution.
For her, the self-portrait is the equivalent of an exploration, an objective investigation of her feelings, of things suffered or experienced in the recent past. The language she uses is persuasive, imaginative, material: the animal heart bleeds between her hands, she places it in front of us and forces us to remain in front of her. She proceeds through metaphors, allusions and references of great visual impact, which she uses to analyze her own thoughts and box in that remote suffering.
Thanks also to these works, in 2022, he will hold a photography course/
Self-portrait flanked by a psychologist at the Como prison
helping inmates develop their own self-portraits by passing through
the various emotions felt in those moments.
He has several exhibitions to his credit both in Italy and in Europe
publications.
