Philippe Briade Biography

Belgium, born 1961

Philippe Briade is a belgian artist based in Brussels, Belgium. He was born in 1961.

Philippe has dedicated many years to studying at art schools, primarily focusing on drawing from live models and sketches outdoor in the nature.

His main interest now lies in creating large-scale non-figurative organic charcoal drawings on paper.

Currently, he divides his time between creating art and teaching art classes in Brussels.

Phil has held several solo exhibitions and participated in group shows both in Belgium and internationally.

His work was recently chosen for the Drawing (Paper) Show ‘25, which took place in July 2025 at The Bridewell Studios and Gallery, as part of the Liverpool Independents Biennial.
