Lugh Hastur Biography

Austria, born 1981

Lugh Hastur is a professional artist. Known in real life as Chris Feurstein.
Included in the artistic collection “Fingerprints” of the Exlibirs Society for Contemporary Graphics in 1991.
Editor of the magazine “Ziegfried” from 2013 to 2018. Feurstein works in the field of graphics and design - and has been awarded various advertising prizes.

Feurstein has been active as an artist again since 2021 as the fictional character “Lugh Hastur”. The reason for this was that he wanted a mysterious artist name to match his dark, dystopian works.

He uses a variety of media in his works, from digital to traditional. Using the technique of “layer painting”, acrylic merges with a wide variety of surfaces - whatever is at hand.

Hastur's dark works are characterized by realism and a pinch of surrealism. The many details invite you to linger in each work. The art of Lugh Hastur, a tugging between the known and the unknown.
