Greece, born 21/12/1999
I'm a final-year architecture student. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, and over the years, I've found myself expressing through surreal, allegorical images. I paint because I become numb when I don’t. In a system corrupted by hate and self-interest, my goal is to capture emotions within and around me through my work, without sugarcoating them. Painting it's a strong way to communicate emotions and ideas; it's also a tool to understand and create images that challenge and aspire to change things through decay. I believe art is and should be connected to the struggle to overthrow oppression in any form.
The topic of my research thesis at university is "Avant-Garde Movements in Art and Architecture – Critical and Historical Approaches in the Twentieth Century." The research focuses on identifying and analyzing the avant-garde movements in Europe on artistic, architectural, and social levels, as well as examining the application of their ideas in contemporary contexts.
