Ewa Dzierżyńska Biography

My name's Ewa. I've started making art at the end of 2014. I'm a polish self-taught artist. Most of my work is of surreal nature. I notice beauty and intrigue in the most unusual places. My art is an experiment, I don't like to create just in one way all the time- I paint on canvas, clothes, shoes, paper, like to try out some bodypainting as well. I belive I can express more that way and it teaches me a lot.
From learning how to draw with online tutorials and a few classes with a friendly artist as a hobby I found I love to create, it is my way of life. After years of experimentations and many mistakes I've finally learned how to use art to express my own ideas, thought dreams on a surface. I'm still learning everyday and developing my own style. Most of my creations consist of surreal art. It does help me with communication- I'm not an elaborate speaker even in my native language, so making art is sort of my way of talking.

Oh, by the way! My artistic name came from my initials EDD, but also got inspired with a childhood cartoon "Ed,Edd ad Eddy", that I've watched with my brother once upon a time.
