Charlie Alen Biography

I’m a part time Artist with Autism. Living in Chatham, Kent. My work combines Dark Art and Expressionism. With a focus on depicting my Autism, intense feelings, world observations and experiences with people.

I was born and raised in Essex. But have lived previously in the Scottish Highlands, Coventry and Lincolnshire. I studied Visual Communications at Inverness College. And Studied Automotive and Transport Design at Coventry University.

I've spent my whole life creating things. Sketching from a young age and painting as a hobby throughout college and university. After discovering artists like Francis Bacon, Yuko Tatsushima and Jean-Michel Basquiat. I was impassioned and inspired to pursue art at a more serious level.
